What do you do when your class's business makes a profit for the year? You take a trip! The Transitions class and their "best" customer took their profits to tour the Great Lakes Aquarium with an upgrade to an animal experience, where they got to pet an alligator! They finished the day off with an excellent meal at the Green Mill. It was a great day to take advantage of their entrepreneurship.

We are so excited to have a beautiful piano donated to the Chisholm School District with the help of Veda Zuponcic, Music professor at Rowan University in New Jersey. It belonged to one of the finest music educators in New Jersey, David Dilks, and his estate donated it to NLMF for us to put into Chisholm HS. Thank you to Mr. Dilks and his estate, we are very grateful for this amazing addition to our music rooms.

Students and Staff of the Week - April 26, 2024 Ms. Carroll – Nominated by Dessie Nordeen Ms. Carroll is a great art teacher. She's always willing to help me or anyone else that needs it. Throughout this year she's inspired me to be creative and work on art or anything that inspires me everyday. Without her as my teacher there are many important things I wouldn't have learned and improved on. Thank you Ms. Carroll! Abigail Nelson – Nominated by Mr. Cerar I’ve been really impressed with Abigail’s work recently! She takes time to really explain herself on test responses - I look forward to reading hers as I’m grading them. What a bright kid! Ella Hays- Nominated by Mrs. Helmer Ella has worked really hard in the last couple of weeks to reach her goal and work on her strategy in Check and Connect. I'm proud of Ella for being willing to work hard on her own and showing responsibility. Keep up the good work Ella! Keelia Brohman- Nominated by Mrs. Helmer I would like to recognize Keelia for showing Bluestreak Pride and helping Check and Connect with donating snacks to the classroom for students. She is always going out of her way to do kind gestures for the Check and Connect program. Thank you Keelia!! Cecilia Schmidt – Nominated by Mrs. Yuretich Cecilia works hard every day to learn and understand the material, in both math class and study skills. She contributes well to class discussion and helps her classmates as well. She is conscientious in her assignments and strives to learn and improve every day. Cecilia, keep up the good work!

Working on our standard: " Participate in multilingual communities around the world", the Spanish classes spoke today with Swedish students. Thanks to the ninth grade students of Soldalaskolan High School of Stockholm and to Isabel Manjarrés, their Spanish teacher for allowing us to share this incredible experience. Go Bluestreaks!!
