Students and Staff of the Week at the High School Mrs. Zbacnik-Martin – Nominated by Kylie Schow I nominated Mrs. ZM to be the staff of the week because she’s always doing her best to teach us and she does it in fun ways. She’s a great organizer when it comes to pep club, and always does it with a smile. THANK YOU MRS. ZM!!! Josh Becker – Nominated by Ms. Carroll Josh is always lending a helping hand in the classroom. He is always asking if there is anything he can do to help out during class. He works hard in class. Keep up the great work Josh! Jolene Quirk & Amya Dobis-Fontaine – Nominated by Mr. Vake Jolene and Amya are two of the hardest working students that I have ever met. They are involved with everything, filled with Bluestreak Pride, attends all the events, and manage to keep all their grades up. They help me with anything that I need as TA's for me and they are taking the lead when it comes to building an amazing Yearbook this year. I wouldn't be able to do everything that I do without the help of Jolene and Amya. They are truly filled with Bluestreak Pride. Thanks for all you do ladies.

With our partners, we are working to inform families they can access federal funds through the Child Tax Credit. Deadline is November 15, 2022. Families with no income or low income could get at least $3,000 per child with the Child Tax Credit, plus $1,400 with the third stimulus payment - even if they have never filed taxes before and if they have not filed taxes this year. It is estimated that more than 33,000 children in Minnesota could miss out on this money if their parent/guardian has not filed. The Chisholm JV Knowledge Bowl teams competed in their first meet of the season today. Chisholm’s “Team 1” finished in first place out of 16 teams that competed today, and “Team 2” finished 9th. We just learned that Chisholm Team 1 finished in 1st Place Overall in the two-day meet out of 31 teams. WAY TO GO TEAM 1. Way to represent Chisholm High School. Attached are photos of Team 1 with their ribbons, and the whole JV group together.

6th graders were gaining knowledge at the STEM showcase in Hibbing last Friday!

Our students had the homor of attending a concert on Tuesday, Oct. 4 by the Okaidja Afroso Ensemble. The group is originally from Ghana, and they perform music in their native language on traditional instruments. Students from the Chisholm Elementary and the Chisholm High School attended. The concert was arranged in conjunction with Lindsey Bergan from the Lyric Center in Virginia. A special thanks to Carol Wald, our auditorium manager, for help with the set up.
