Mr. Morrison – Nominated by the high school students and staff Mr. Morrison always takes the time to listen, whether he has the time or not. He helps both students and staff make ALL the right decisions and keeps the candy dish on his desk at least half full, at least half of the time. Mr. Morrison, we appreciate all you do for us!! Congratulations! You will be missed as the high school Principal but know you will be an awesome Superintendent. Science Scholars Hailey Johnson – Nominated by Mrs. Wopata I am nominating Hailey Johnson as she excels in science doing well on work, exams, and labs! Despite being involved in sports, she keeps up with her work, has a good attitude, and puts her schoolwork first. Ive enjoyed having her in class these past two years! Tristen Holewa – Nominated by Mrs. Rolle I nominate Tristen Holewa for student of the week. He has been the music man in 1st hour sharing some good tunes in the morning to pump us up for the day. He always sends me the coolest video clips to share with our class. He uses his work time wisely and always gets his assignments in on time. Thank you Tristen for the great year and keep up the good work! Gracie Bakkethun, Amanda Bjortomt, Kiley Hill, Ella Hindsley, Madison Meittunen, Madalynn Meyer, Aiden Thompson, Angeleena Varda – Nominated by Mrs. Maki I am nominating the seniors in the Anatomy/Physiology class for science scholars because they chose to take a difficult class their senior year and graduate with 4 science credits. Some of them actually have two science classes this year, choosing forensics in addition to anatomy, or taking chemistry in addition to anatomy. I applaud them for choosing a difficult class and doing well with it this year. I wish them all the best! Congrats and thank you for hanging out with me your senior year.

Attention Chisholm Elementary and High School Students and Parents: This coming Wednesday (May 24th) we will have a Bluestreak Pride Fundraiser with KONA ICE. They will be on-site from 11:30am - 3:00pm. Cost is $6.00. Bluestreak Pride funds will receive 25% of all sales. C. Elementary studens need to bring their $6.00 to their homeroom teacher who will collect the money and then give them each a ticket on Wednesday. HS Students need to bring their $6.00 to Mr. Vake's Room and get their ticket from him. High School students will be let out a little before lunch to ensure they have time to get their shaved ice and then head to lunch. CE will have their treats after HS lunch is completed. Our goal is to get every student in both the High School and the Elementary (as well as every staff member) a KONA ICE Cup and make this a great little fundraiser for Bluestreak Pride in both schools for next year. If you would like to pay for additional students who face financial hardships, those funds can be brought to Mr. Vake. Thank you for your continuing support!

6th grade took a field trip to MN Discovery Center. We got a tour and did 3 of the events. We created a canoe and hoped it floated, created our own voyageur canoe crest and wove a voyageur bracelet. These were all connected to our social studies chapter on the fur trade.
