Mr. Backstrom – Nominated by Ethan Moody
I think Mr. Backstrom should be Staff of the Week because every day he will make these funny conversations with the class to pretty much make our mornings better. He goes through the assignment with us and gives us the option to continue at home if desired. And while we are reading a story in our textbooks, he makes it more fun, and entertaining to read. Also he normally will give Bluestreak pride tickets to students who volunteer to read a section, giving us encouragement to read for the class out loud.
Destiny Schmitz – Nominated by Mrs. Fleming
Destiny is having a great start to the school year. She is a really busy person, but she maintains balance between her schoolwork, extracurricular activities, friends, and family responsibilities. Keep up the good work Destiny.
Evan Rajala – Nominated by Mr. Boehm (not pictured)
Evan knows that being a quality student means pursuing knowledge. It is easy to see his academic goals, and very fun to have meaningful conversation with him. I enjoy having Evan in class, and I look forward to enjoying the rest of the year with him. Evan, Mr. Boehm will always be excited for academic conversations with you.

Congratulations to our newest Athlete of the Week, Olivia Pascuzzi! She is killing it in Cross Country and we are so proud of her accomplishments so far this season.
FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL TONIGHT! Come cheer on the Football Team as they take on the Ely Timberwolves. We would like to invite everyone to come and tailgate before the game and grab some burgers (hamburger or cheeseburger). Cost is $10.00
Be sure to come out and support our Girls Swim Team TODAY as they host NE Range/Ely in a home dual at the Chisholm High School with a 5:00pm start time.

Announcement for Football this Friday!
Please come together Friday September 22nd and wear periwinkle (purple
/blue) to support Jennifer Waryas in her fight against Stomach Esophageal Cancer.
We will also be selling bracelets for $2 all proceeds will go towards her medical expenses while she is out of work for her surgery to remove the cancer in October.
Olivia was running with the wind yesterday in Grand Rapids. She took home 2nd Place in the Varsity Meet. Congratulations to Olivia! #streakscrosscountry
