Spanish classes wrapped up the first quarter and Hispanic Heritage Month by learning to dance Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. Thanks to David and Kristen, owners of Simply Ballroom for a wonderful morning.

The 8th grade Truth About Drugs class participated in hands on activities using Fatal Vision Goggles to experience the effects of impairment- including field sobriety tests, a driving simulation, and a memory challenge. These activities help students understand how drugs and alcohol can impact coordination, judgment, and reaction time. Special thanks to Officer Rock with Chisholm PD for joining us.

Mr. Freitas - Nominated by Emmily Graham

I am nominating Mr. Freitas because seeing his face each morning has never failed to put me in a good mood. As a teacher, he is doing a great job at giving everyone appropriate work that challenges and sharpens our minds, as well as making fond memories when creating music. Having Mr. Freitas this school year so far has been out of this world, and has given me the decision to make him Staff of the Week.

6th Grade: Madison Anderson--Madison is always ready to work in Art Class. Her analogous inspired fish shows creativity and lots of extra details. Her positive attitude is inspiring. Keep up the amazing work Madison!

5th Grade: Solomiia Khrushch--Solomiia's effort in creating her fish using analogous colors and adding detail was excellent. She is always an amazing art student and ready to work in class! Thank you Solomiia!

4th Grade: Ireland Jordan--Ireland was very creative designing her fish using analogous colors and lines of interest. She is always an amazing listener during art class. Thank you Ireland and keep up the amazing work!

Chisholm High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Boys Swim Coach to support the Head Coach in leading the boys’ high school swim program. The Assistant Coach will help develop athletes’ swimming skills, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship, discipline, and respect both in and out of the pool.
