She always lights up every room that she is in. She works hard on all of her projects in class. She is always willing to help out with anything she is asked. You can also always count on her for a good laugh.
Trace Yaroscak & Abby DuChene – Nominated by Mr. Schafer
The senior slide does not apply to these two. Abby and Trace have continued to produce quality work, meet deadlines, and perform well on assessments. They've had the mentality of finishing their senior year on a strong note. Well done to both Abby and Trace.

Chisholm High School Students - Please take a couple minutes and take the eSports survey. This will help us gauge interest and see if it is a program worth exploring at CHS.


Mrs. Paradis' 6th grade social studies classes have been learning about the fur trade in Minnesota, while reading the book "The Broken Blade" by William Durbin.
Today we measured out the lengths of the various canoe lengths used during the fur trade.

From Coach Milani: There will be no boys K-3 basketball practice this evening, Wednesday, February 28th. Practice that was scheduled for 6-7pm today is canceled. This concludes Wednesday evening K-3 elementary basketball practices for the year. Thank you for participating! Please spread the word to anyone who may not know.

Make-A-Wish Opportunity!
Chisholm Close-Up is working with the Student Council to Raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. All of the profits from the concession stand at the Girls Basketball playoff game against Deer River will be donated to Make-A-Wish! Please support our team and our cause while enjoying a treat. If you cannot attend, you can still donate through the link below.

Open Houses at MN North College - Mesabi


A quinceañera celebrates a girl's 15th birthday.
It's a tradition celebrated throughout Latin America, and Hispanic communities around the world. On Friday Chisholm high School celebrated our Students lives represented in our Quinceañeras.
We celebrated Community, Family and Friendship.

Artist of the month is an award that is given to one individual in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade who shows Bluestreak Pride and is a hard-working artist in the art room! Their artwork will be displayed in the display case outside of the art room. The 4th grade winner is River Oakgrove in Mrs.Yaroscak's class. River worked hard to create a variety of different patterns in her EttaVee inspired heart and is always kind in the art room. The 5th Grade winner is Hattie Klaysmat in Mrs. Jensen's class. Hattie added SO much detail into her winter village project and continuously works on art outside of the art room. The 6th Grade winner is Ellie Barabe in Mrs. Nehring's class. Ellie did an incredible job using perspective in her project, as well as using value in many places. She is always willing to take advice on how to improve her artwork. Congratulations Artists!


Our SR-3Day class enjoyed pretending to be news broadcasters and Meteorologists. We learned about the different weather conditions we have here in Minnesota.

6th grade social studies has completed an in-depth chapter of the Annishinabe (Ojibwe). They examined bandolier bags and then decorated their own similar to real ones. They also learned the story of "The Great Flood" and the creation of
Turtle Island from our Indian Education person, Chaz Wagner. The students then created their our Turtle Island.

Nevaeh is a hard-working student in Advanced Woods class. She is always busy working on her projects or helping someone else out on their project. Nevaeh is a great student to have in class.



Girls Basketball Team Announcements!
Congratulations to our GBB Team on winning the final Northern Lakes Conference Championship for the conference. The conference will disband after this season.
