The 3rd grade Safety Patrols at the Vaughan-Steffensrud celebrated the year's end with a well-earned field trip to the Great Lakes Aquarium and the Adventure Zone in Duluth! It was a great day! Thanks, Patrols, for helping to make our school community a safer place!

Reminder: the K-6 Spring Concert will be held at 1pm, this Friday, May 17th in the High School Auditorium. Family and friends are invited to attend. Following the concert, students will return to their respective schools to complete the remainder of the school day.
Congratulations to last week's Golden Ticket students at the Chisholm Elementary: Haiden Martin, Isabella Meyer, Tristan Mankus, Asher Kelly, Jessica Carter, and Elliese Breed! Classrooms to receive a Golden Award are: Golden Paintbrush - Mrs. Jensen, Golden Note - Mrs. Paradis, Golden Shoes - Mrs. Pessenda, and double winner: the Golden Spoon and Golden Broom - Mrs. Yaroscak
Shout out to these 4th grade students for "leveling up"! Mrs. Yaroscak is recognizing them for going above and beyond. In addition to sweeping the classroom daily, they took it upon themselves to help the janitor by sweeping the hallway in the fourth grade wing. There is a lot of dirt is coming in from the playground. Thank you Haiden Martin, Ryder Aultman, Gunnar Saari, and Navin Vukad!
Don't forget that our Annual Athletic Banquet is TONIGHT at 6pm in the Auditorium with Desserts in the Cafeteria to follow.
Ms. Theresa & Ms. Barb – Nominated by Lily Rowan, Lilly Franke, & Lilly Peterson
Thank you Ms. Barb & Ms. Theresa for helping to figure out and understand assignments, for helping with work on good days and bad days and for being there for us. We thank you for all you do!
Social Studies Scholars
Gianna Caudullo – Nominated by Mrs. Fleming
Gianna demonstrated what it means to be a social studies scholar during her recent Close Up trip to Washington DC. She actively participated in the activities and discussions throughout the week. She asked lots of great questions of the people she met while she was there to further her understanding of history, government, citizenship, and social justice issues. She is well on her way to become an active citizen and community leader.
Jackson Sjogren (not pictured) – Nominated by Mr. Cerar
Jackson's interest in class is evident. He's had a great year in American History, from his grades on assessments to his participation in class discussions. And he's an overall "good vibe" for any group he's around. I'm proud of the student he's becoming.
Congratulations to our next Senior Spotlights. We thank you for your dedication to Chisholm High School and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. We are excited to see what the future holds for you.
What do you do when your class's business makes a profit for the year? You take a trip! The Transitions class and their "best" customer took their profits to tour the Great Lakes Aquarium with an upgrade to an animal experience, where they got to pet an alligator! They finished the day off with an excellent meal at the Green Mill. It was a great day to take advantage of their entrepreneurship.
We are so excited to have a beautiful piano donated to the Chisholm School District with the help of Veda Zuponcic, Music professor at Rowan University in New Jersey.
It belonged to one of the finest music educators in New Jersey, David Dilks, and his estate donated it to NLMF for us to put into Chisholm HS.
Thank you to Mr. Dilks and his estate, we are very grateful for this amazing addition to our music rooms.
These students earned the Bluestreak Pride Award this week for showing Bluestreak Pride!
