The Vaughan-Steffensrud School was fortunate enough to be awarded a MN Reading Corps grant for the 2010-11 school year. Through the Department of Education the Vaughan-Steffensrud and Chisholm Elementary Schools were awarded a two-year PBIS grant. The grant application was written with the goals of improving student behaviors and attitudes in and outside of the schools. Research support the concept that any disruptive behavior negatively impact the education process. The grant provides a framework by which to identify and address problems areas within school structure. Our focus is entitled "Bluestreak Pride" and it uses the acronym STREAKS as our core.
